Since 1930, Iowans have trusted Redekers to help them find furniture, mattresses, and accessories for their homes. While other furniture stores have come and gone or become part of an out-of-state chain, family-owned Redekers has flourished. We've grown from a small store in downtown Boone to one of the largest home furnishing stores in the Midwest, and now adding an additional 10,000 square feet. This addition will provide an outdoor patio, a designated clearance area, and a simplified layout for easy shopping.
The temporary wall is up in the showroom and the windows are out. The preparations has started!
Walls are starting to move! The frame of our expansion is taking shape. 2/3 walls are almost complete.
The back wall is complete!
Beams are beginning to be put into place.
All of the beams are up, the roof is being sealed, and another HVAC unit is being installed.
The floor is poured and cured! This 10,000 square-foot expansion is on its way. It is the same level as the rest of our showroom, so getting around is just as easy. With windows on all sides, the space is filled with natural light, perfect for seeing pieces in true light.
Next up: the covered outdoor patio!

The latest progress is in, and it’s starting to feel real. Drywall is up, ceilings are painted, and we’ve made the exciting decision to expand the outdoor patio. This 10,000 square foot addition is open, airy, and filled with natural light from windows on every side, an ideal backdrop for seeing furniture in its true color.
We’re not finished yet, but each step brings us closer to unveiling a space that’s just as inspiring to explore as it is easy to navigate.
